You started out on this journey thinking it would be easy... and now the expenses are piling up and even a Starbucks latte seems expensive these days. Forget IVF...who has the money for that?
The good news is, I’ve brought an expert on the show today to help you find the money that you need to finance your fertility journey. And these are crazy way to find money that you have never thought of.
The expert today is our resident finance expert Devon Baeza. You may have seen her around inside our FB group. She has been through it all. The emotional rollercoaster from dealing with endometriosis, to being told the embryo is not good enough only for it to become a beautiful little girl, to being in debt and paying off IVF and additional 50,000.
She knows her stuff about money. What’s really interesting though is that Devon always says to me that when we’re stressed about money, it’s never about the money. So you’re going to hear us first talk about:
And of course she’s going to share the 5 crazy ways to find and make money so you can use it to finance your treatments, buy more supplements, organic foods, and maybe coaching that you need.
I'm bringing you a recording of a Facebook Live that I did yesterday.
So often I think of something, but out of fear of judgment I don't share them. One of my goals this year is to be more present on Facebook, more off the cuff, and sharing what is on my mind more frequently.
Next week I will be back with regular episodes.
Today, I’m bringing you an interview with Chief Content editor at Ava, as in THE Ava bracelet, Lindsay Meisel.
Lindsay has personally experienced the struggles of not having a regular cycle, trying to conceive and all the ups and downs of the process. Her experience is what fueled her passion for advocating for women’s reproductive health.
In today’s episode, we talk about:
I also answered a Listener Question of the Week. If you would like to submit your question, please send an email to email@example.com. Or if you're part of the private Facebook group, you can ask in there.
To get $20 off Ava, use the coupon code HEALTHYANDPREGNANT at checkout.
I want you to meet my good friend Holly Hughes, intuitive healer and best selling author. Holly knows all about the struggles of trying to conceive...from being told she is old, to multiple miscarriages, to failed IUIs. She knows what it’s like to feel like a failure because you’re having trouble conceiving.
Today, Holly and I have a conversation about the most underutilized gift as women, and that is our intuition. We talk about why noises on the internet can cause us to lose trust in our body, and therefore lose the ability to do what we intuitively know what is best for our body, all because we want a baby so badly. We talk about fear, which she calls it "false evidence appearing real" and we talk about real actions that you can take to regain that trust in yourself, and use it to guide you through your journey...including the two letters you should write.
For more information about Holly Hughes, check out www.hollyhughesintuitive.com.
This is a soul-crushing diagnosis for most women. You automatically think I’m screwed, there is no hope. I have no more egg left."
The truth is this, you're not out of eggs. You're not hopeless, and you certain CAN get pregnant.
In today's episode, I talk about what it means to have high FSH, and/or low reserve and the three things you should be doing to maximize your chances every month.
Here is the thing, if you say these things to yourself...your mind will perceive it as being important...and if it’s important then it must be true...if it’s true then that is your reality...and your body will start to act according to this belief.
Today, I'm going to point out your blind spots.
if you missed my last free webinar, Your Complete Blueprint to Getting Pregnant Even If You’ve Tried Everything, I’m running another one next Wednesday night, so September the 11th at 7:30pm.
I’m going to talk about the three mistakes that are delaying the process of getting a BFP, and what your step by step blueprint should look like.

So, you’ve finally made the decision to pull the trigger and do an IUI. There’s a sense of relief because everything is going to taken care of for you. You don’t have to think about it much. You don’t have to pee on a stick to test for ovulation and you don’t have to dread the baby dance.
You get bloodwork and you’re given instructions on what to do. But you’re also reading online about the different drugs different dosages and you’re wondering if the drugs you’re given or the dosage is going to work. And then there’s the procedure itself, doctors throw out these numbers out at you, and there’s something about “washing the sperm.” It seems so overwhelming and so confusing.
So in this episode, we’re going to talk about:
I hope to offer some clarity so that it doesn’t seem like a huge mystery. And the next time you’re in a doctor’s office, you’ll know exactly what they’re talking about.
Spotting is a sign of instability of the uterine lining. Stability of lining is one of the 10 parameters of a fertile cycle. It offers clues for us as to where your energy is stuck.
A lot of women inside our private FB group totally freak out when they see some type of spotting.
It's understandable...especially if it’s right before your period. You’ve been praying that your period doesn’t start. And when you see red, it’s like a huge let down because you’re thinking "there is another month of disappointment."
I want to talk all about that today, and as always share the Chinese medicine perspective on things.
You thought you were doing the right things by taking the pill to prevent pregnancy, regulate your cycle, reduce period pain...
...but now you're ready to GET pregnant, your period is no where to be found.
In this episode, I talk about:
- the effects of birth control pills on fertility
- possible causes of post-pill amenorrhea
- why you shouldn't rush into using medication to induce ovulation

We all think that it's so easy for everyone else to get pregnant and that they have their sh*t together...
...No one is showing you the ugly day to day struggles.
We all have our own struggles that we have to deal with but you need to walk your own path because this is your life, your journey and no one else’s. You and you alone and the power to change your life, or not. The decision is up to you.
In this episode I go over the 4 tips that have helped me to stop comparing myself to other and feeling left behind.
I think IVF is an amazing advancement in medicine because it has made so many women’s dream of becoming a mother possible. And I am super duper grateful for the existence of things like PGS, Endometrial receptivity tests that further reduces the risks of miscarriage
However, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but even with all these technology, IVF is still not 100%. In fact the national average success rate of IVF is about 40% for women under the age of 35, and that number decreases with age.
I’m totally not against IVF and I know that IVF is the last resort for many of you. However, what bothers me is so many of you jump into IVF without proper preparation.
So, today I’m going to go over the 4 factors that influence the success of an IVF cycle so that you understand which factors you can actually control to boost the chances of getting pregnant.

Welcome to episode 4!
So I'm back from D.C. and had an amazing time! Many of you wonder if and how I stay on track with my diet and lifestyle while on vacation. Vacations for some people is a time to relax, let loose and "cheat" on their diets. My husband certainly does this. As he is eating a chocolate cake he'll say "it's vacation."
I've often wondered why people think that vacation is a green light to be unhealthy.
I think it's the principle of "everything in moderation is ok." I used to be a fan of this, but now I'm finding that I'm wrong, and moderation may be preventing us from achieving our goals.
To find out why, let's jump in!
One of the biggest fears you all have is working really hard to get pregnant and then end up miscarrying...
...well how about miscarrying 5 times.
Five losses and top of that you’ve been told IVF is your only option.
How do you recover from that...how do you pick up the pieces after each loss and keep going... to have enough faith in your body that it’s going to be able to get pregnant and stay pregnant.
Today, I bring the incredible story of Laurie.
She is someone who suffered 5 miscarriages before finally getting pregnant and is now 15 weeks along.
You’re going to hear about her ups and downs on her journey, the actions she took both holistic and medical, and what finally tipped the scale and made the biggest difference for her
I will give you a huge hint, it’s not a miracle pill or a magical diet.
I can’t wait for you to listen to Laurie’s story because I know it’s going to inspire so many of you, and give you the hope that yes you can get pregnant against all odds.
Today I have a guest for my episode, Devon Baeza, Life coach and fertility finance coach.
That’s pretty interesting right? She’s not just a life coach she is a fertility finance coach.
I totally understand that during the TTC process, your biggest fear is that no matter what you do, you won’t be able to get pregnant. And it’s exactly this fear that drives your decision making.
For example, because of this fear, some of you choose to do nothing. But some of you do too much because you’re are convinced that what is holding you back from getting pregnant are things like diet, timing of intercourse, lifestyle...and you’re sure there is that ONE thing you’re missing.
But you rarely think about how your mindset about how money ties into all of this, and that your beliefs about money could be holding you back from getting pregnant. And I’m not just talking about coming up with cold hard cash for an IUI and IVF.
In this episode, Devon talks to us about the five biggest mistakes you’re making when it comes to money that could be holding you back from getting pregnant.
Devon also has a super cool freebie for all of you, it’s 15 ways to come up with money for fertility procedures that you didn’t know about.
To download this just go to devonbaeza.com.
You could be repelling the fertile energy when you say this little phrase every single month.
Tune in to hear why you should get your hopes up every single month.
Today, I’m bringing you a recording from our Fertility Happy Hour Facebook live show.
Jocey, my incredible co host and I talk about supplements and what I call hypersupplementitis. It’s not a real condition because I made it up, but it makes me upset that so many women are blindly trusting supplement companies because of good marketing.
So in this episode, we have a message for the supplements industry and why you need to change your mindset around supplements.
I love my job dearly and I've helped hundreds of women conceive. But inevitably, there are times of losses too.
Today, I'm going to be talking about one of the scariest topics when it comes to TTC. It's one of the biggest fears a woman will have and that is miscarriage. To try so hard to achieve success, only to lose it is an incredibly painful process to deal with. Physically and emotionally.
I'm going to talk about:
1. What causes a miscarriage (there are actually three types of miscarriages)
2. How to prevent a miscarriage
3. When to start trying again
There's no easy way to recover from a miscarriage, but with each day it gets easier. I hope the information in this episode will help you along the way, and provide comfort for you in knowing that you were a mother no matter how short the duration.

Today, I’m going to be bringing you a recording of a FB live mini webinar that I did on Tuesday, all about cervical mucus.
We have a lot of discussion about cervical mucus in the private group, and it’s an area that causes a ton of confusion for people.
So in this episode, we discuss;
1. The true purpose of the cervical mucus
2. The 4 types of cervical mucus
3. Why you shouldn't be using lubricants.
